Beatriz Milhazes (b. 1960, lives and works in Rio de Janeiro) is known for painting works that combine Modernist painting with Brazilian cultural imagery. Milhazes' works are included in the world's leading institutions including: Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa and the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid.

Prof. Martin Roth has been the Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London since September 2011. Previously, Roth was Director General of the Dresden State Art Collections (Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden).
