Organised in conjunction with Spotlight, the panel will explore the historical significance of African Amercian artists from the 1960's and '70's employing a decidedly abstract aesthetic. Let by Tate's Mark Godfrey, the discussion will centre around collecting trends - both in museums and private collections, as well as the flourishing interest in art from this period.
