Venki Ramakrishnan is a Nobel Prize winning scientist, Former President of the Royal Society, a structural biologist at the University of Cambridge and author. Scientific and public interest into anti-aging has reached an all time high. With this has come a series of medical breakthroughs, as well as a detailed understanding of promising mechanisms that need to be targeted to slow down the aging process. However, there has also been a proliferation of misinformation, ineffective treatments and speculative claims, such as individuals suggesting that they may never die. To sort the fact from the fiction, we invited Venki on to share his thoughts on the current state of the anti-aging movement.
