This season, I've adopted A Place for Peanut as the official nonprofit of Freddy's Huge ASK Podcast.

Megan Cardet is the co-founder and CEO and she joins me to talk about APFP's mission to save horses from going to slaughter.

We go deep in this conversation and it takes a dark turn, as she details much of what happens in the slaughter pipeline. So if you're sensitive to animal cruelty, then this may not be the episode for you.

BUT...

You can still help.

The bill Megan references in this episode is the Save America's Forgotten Equine's Act of 2021, also known as the SAFE Act of 2021. As of now, it has yet to be passed.

This episode is brought to you by Salty Lama, an eco-friendly laundry detergent. Smell good while saving the planet and cutting clutter with their laundry strips. I've been using them for a few weeks now and am loving the scent. Plus it makes me feel good, knowing that we're doing the best we can to reduce the amount of plastic we use. Every little bit helps and you can, too. Click the affiliate link for a special discount code right HERE.
