This week on Framed, we head to São Paulo for a heist that feels less Ocean’s Eleven and more absolute chaos. On the final day of a library exhibition in Brazil, two men walked in and ripped rare works off the walls, shoved them into blue Ikea bags, and disappeared into the city in under ten minutes. Among the stolen works were valuable Matisse prints from Jazz and engravings tied to Brazilian cultural history. We get into the art, the suspects and a man nicknamed Gargamel that we spend way too much time talking about.
