As tensions between the West and East mount, FPRI Senior Fellow Mitchell Orenstein will home in on the geopolitical competition between the European Union and Russia over the lands in between. A specialist in European studies and international political economy, Orenstein has consulted for the World Bank, USAID, and other organizations. He has lived in Britain, France, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Russia. He has held fellowships from the MacArthur Foundation, the American Council of Learned Societies, and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
