The charge to us Christians in the two texts, is to be His witnesses. Witnesses of Christ.

Essentially, a witness in this context will be someone who incarnates and tells others about his or her experience with Christ.

The reference to kingdom here, is not one that is defined by a territorial land space but gaining control of the hearts of men, symbolically; the kingdom is established in the hearts of men.
