The term “Abba” is the defining term for dear father in the Aramaic language, spoken byJesus and Paul. It is an intimate term to characterize their personal relationships withGod.Jesus is the only begotten Son of God (John nature, can call God “Abba.” Jesus is begotten of God, not made.The character of Abba-Father is to relentlessly pursue His children in order to establisha deep and intimate relationship with each and every one of them. His desire is to bridgeevery gap or chasm between Him and each of us; to know each person completely andlove you unconditionally.Viewing God as your Heavenly Father and believing that He invites you to a life of intimaterelationship or union with Him, is a distinctive privilege of the Christian faith. Theother faiths believe that God is too Holy and powerful to be approached or related with ina filial manner.
