For Robert Herjavec, the entrepreneurial journey is punctuated by a mix of contentment and frustration.
“I'm proud of what we've accomplished. But I'm frustrated because I see the potential,” Robert says of Herjavec Group, the company he founded in 2003 to provide cybersecurity products and services to enterprise organizations.
You have to find a way to be content with the stage you're at, but frustrated for the things you could do better, says Robert, who’s company was recently acquired by private equity fund Apax Partners (he’ll remain a significant stakeholder and retain the title of CEO).
Robert sees potential on the horizon, despite the frustration, and attributes that to his success.
On the premiere episode of Forge Ahead, Robert reflects on how he first started working with computers to what it takes to build a company for the ages to hot topics in cybersecurity, and where he sees market opportunities.
Robert also discusses the future of remote work, how a changing customer cadence will affect the way businesses meet their expectations, and the key to retain top talent in a competitive global marketplace.
