A CIA reading-room release contains or is associated with Chan Thomas's The Adam and Eve Story: The History of Cataclysms, a speculative catastrophe book commonly cited as originally published in 1963. Thomas argued that Earth suffers sudden recurring disasters in which the crust shifts, oceans cross continents, violent winds destroy cities, and civilization begins again. Online, the file became known as the CIA apocalypse book, but the visible evidence supports a narrower claim: agency handling, sanitization, approval-for-release language, a 2013 release date, and the document identifier CIA-RDP79B00752A000300070001-8.

This episode starts inside the released file and separates the record into evidence layers: Thomas's claims, the CIA handling record, later internet additions, and current Earth science. It examines the page-count controversy, the meaning of release and sanitization markings, the difference between geomagnetic reversal and catastrophic crustal displacement, and why flood traditions, the Younger Dryas, frozen mammoths, and old maps remain compelling to some readers without proving Thomas's mechanism. The central mystery is why this outside catastrophe theory entered an intelligence archive, why the public release appears incomplete or confusing to many readers, and what evidence would be needed to decide whether the file reflects routine archival handling or something more sensitive.

This podcast uses artificial intelligence in its research, writing, production, and narration. Episodes are editorially reviewed before publication.

YES OR NO: Does the CIA release suggest more than routine handling of Thomas's book??????
