En: A summer day embraced Peterburg with soft sunlight.
Ru: На берегу Невы возвышалась Петропавловская крепость.
En: On the banks of the Neva stood the Petropavlovskaya krepost'.
Ru: Она стояла, как молчаливый свидетель прошлых столетий.
En: It stood like a silent witness to past centuries.
Ru: Три человека медленно шли вдоль крепостной стены.
En: Three people walked slowly along the fortress wall.
Ru: Это были Зоя, Михаил и Аня.
En: They were Zoya, Mikhail, and Anya.
Ru: Зоя, старшая сестра, шла впереди.
En: Zoya, the elder sister, walked ahead.
Ru: Она была художницей и часто мечтала о семейной гармонии.

En: Mikhail turned to her.

En: His eyes darkened with thoughts.
Ru: "Зоя, я тоже был неправ.
En: "Zoya, I was wrong too.
Ru: Мы упустили много времени.
En: We've wasted a lot of time."
Ru: " Его голос прозвучал мягче, чем обычно.
En: His voice was softer than usual.
Ru: Аня села на траву, облокотившись на стену.
En: Anya sat down on the grass, leaning against the wall.
Ru: "Мы - семья.
En: "We're family.
Ru: Надо говорить, надо слушать," сказала она, улыбаясь ободряюще.
En: We need to talk, we need to listen," she said, smiling encouragingly.
