En: The sun slowly set behind the hills of Tzfat, casting golden light on the narrow stone streets.
He: אליאב עמד ונשען על מעקה ברזל ישן, מביט אל העיר העתיקה, מהרהר בסיפורים החבויים בין אבניה.
En: Eliyav stood leaning on an old iron railing, gazing at the old city, pondering the stories hidden within its stones.
He: הוא הגיע לצפת לחפש השראה, אך קולות מוזרים בלילות העיר מנה שום לילות שינה.
En: He had come to Tzfat seeking inspiration, but strange noises in the city's nights deprived him of sleep.
He: בעיר דיברו על רעשים מוזרים הבוקעים מבית הכנסת הישן.

He: תמר התחבטה, וכשירד הערב, החליטה ללכת איתו.
En: Tamar hesitated, and as evening fell, decided to accompany him.

En: The two snuck into the synagogue.
He: האוויר בפנים היה לח ונשוב מימים רחוקים.
En: The air inside was damp and heavy with the scent of bygone days.
He: לפתע נשמעו רעשים.
