The music industry can be a tough place to not only be seen or heard but also navigate. 

MEET this week's podcast guest Brit Ebenezer who has managed to find ways to succeed as an indie artist.

Born in London, one of three kids raised by his single Nigerian mum, Ebe, as he is known by his friends, watched his mum hustle, deal with almost being deported and even experience homelessness. He says, "Growing up with nothing, really gives you perspective. Before we got a house, we were sleeping in telephone boxes in bin bags, we didn't have any money. My mum is the biggest OG I know, my dad wasn't in my life for the longest as they deported him before I was born. My mum raised me and my older brother. I love my mum to bits, she has suffered so much just to put food on our table and look after her kids.
