This week on the #FitWithFallon #Podcast Episode #3 Dr. Cyrus Khambatta Nutritional BioChemist, N.Y. Times Best Selling Author & Co-Founder of @MasteringDiabetes speaks with Fallon about the power of a #plantbaseddiet for reversing #prediabetes #type2diabetes and how it can help you lose weight easily.

Dr. Khambatta explains the many different forms of diabetes, specifically a new form classified as "Type 3 Diabetes" which is Dementia. Alzheimer's  Disease is also categorized as #Type3Diabetes because it is usually the precursor for #Dementia. Scientists no longer believe that this degenerative cerebral disease is caused by plaque build up in the brain, instead they concluded it is controlled by one's diet and lifestyle.

A lot of people with #Type2Diabetes are misdiagnosed, and actually have #Type1.5Diabetes. This is why they struggle controlling their sugar levels even though they are taking medication and adhering to a healthy diet. The real reasoning behind their uncontrolled sugar levels is primarily due to the pancreas not being able to produce enough insulin, rather than too much.  #Type1.5Diabetics instead need to receive a small amount of insulin in order to get back to the ideal glucose levels.
