Joining us today on the first ever Lessons from Legends episode of the Finding Center podcast is Jeff Saturday.
Jeff is a guy that I really looked up to during my time in the NFL. Not only was he a really good player, he was and is a really kind man, who treated everyone with the utmost respect. I’ll never forget our time together at the Pro Bowl and at the NFLPA union meeting, as a union rep, while Jeff served on the executive committee.
I learned a lot about how to carry myself from watching him. He played 13 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and 1 with the Green Bay Packers. He is a four time all pro at center, a six time pro bowler, and won Super Bowl 41 over the Chicago Bears in Miami when he was with the Indianapolis Colts.
Personally, I think he should’ve won the Super Bowl MVP title that year, as the Colts run game was highly effective, and Jeff was dominant, in a rain-soaked title game. But maybe that’s a center bias.
I also believe he is destined to become a Pro Football Hall of Famer.
