This week we're going to explore the topic of moats. No this is not yet another weird acronym, though you do sometimes see it written all in upper case so if you’ve been confused by this you’re completely forgiven. The idea of a business moat is the same concept as a moat around a medieval castle. It is about protection and long-term survival. It's not hard to see how these characteristics might be attractive in an investment. So in this week's episode we'll explore where this moat concept came from, look at some examples, and then consider how you might apply it on your journey to gaining choice.
