The shocking low ranking of South African ports on a global index has raised many concerns.

Experts say Cape Town port’s official ranking as one of the worst-performing ports in the world, according to the global Container Port Performance Index (CPPI), is worrying and damaging to South Africa’s reputation as an export country.
