The address 1140 Royal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana may sound quite average to most people. Unfortunately, this address has seen far more than its fair share of horror. Standing tall and proud, this home fits right in on the cultured New Orleans square. You probably wouldn’t even give it a second glance if you walked by - other than to maybe admire its historic facade. You would be surprised to find that this typical looking abode has a sordid past. Even Hollywood has looked to its tragic track record for inspiration because this location was the site of murder, torture, and has been speculated about since 1834.
