Love it just plain fairytales I have listened to almost every episode!

My kids love these, no violence and gore just good ol stories!

I’ve been a long time listener of family folktales! I haven’t heard all the stories many times! I can’t wait for the current series of stories to be over so we can hear stories from other books. It would be great to sprinkle some in between the current episodes as well.

I really like your stories I think you’re doing great at them I noticed that some people think they should have different endings like the bad character all the ways dies and the good character always lives happily ever after but I think like for the little mermaid it was great because the little mermaid she loves him so much that she couldn’t get him she couldn’t get herself to kill him I thought that was so sweet I also love that you’re doing classic tales it’s just so nice overall great podcast🍜🍼I just put those there for fun.

I like your stories a lot. I listen to them before I go to sleep. The only problem I have with them is that the endings need work. I think there could be a lot more to the endings then, “and the main character lived happily ever after or, “and the evil character died. But other then that great job. 😜😝😛🥳

These are great bedtime stories for kids. We listen to them over and over again. They are interesting but, calming. There are famous fairy tales mixed in with lots of lesser known stories. And, Susan Poulter has a pleasant voice and does story telling just right.

Remember all those terrific tales in Andrew Lang's story collections (The Blue Fairy Book, The Red Fairy Book, The Violet Fairy Book, etc.)? Here they are (both classics and nearly forgotten ones), read in an understated but beautifully evocative tone by librarian Susan Poulter. I've been listening since 2008, and the episodes bear repeated listening.

Love these stories. They are vivid and great to hear. They engage the imagination on car trips for everyone.

We love to listen to audiobooks in the car, but some trips are too short. This postcast fills that niche quite nicely. My kids 8 and 11 are really enjoying them on the way to lessons.
