W. T. Conner taught that salvation from beginning to end is attributed to the Spirit of God in relation to Christ. Conner’s warm-hearted evangelical doctrine harmonizes with the New Hampshire Confession and its related confessional statement, the Baptist Faith & Message. Southwestern Seminary’s founder, B. H. Carroll ensured that professors subscribed to such Christ-centered beliefs.
