Today’s episode is a slightly different gear for me. Joe Fitzgerald is an awesome recording & mixing engineer based here in Atlanta, Georgia. Unlike my last three guests, I have not worked with Joe…yet. So, today’s interview gave me a little one-on-one time to hang with Joe, find out more about where he came from, and discover what makes him tick.

You may not be familiar with Joe’s name, per se, but you have heard his remarkable work with Hip Hop hits from artists like T.I., Kevin Gates, and (Joe’s current full-time employer) rapper & music producer Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr. AKA B.O.B.

As a graduate from Full Sail University, Joe got extensive training both in engineering and in Music Business. But beyond receiving a Master’s Degree, Joe moved to Atlanta where he dedicated himself completely to the art and craft of audio engineering. Despite his Rock/Punk music background as a guitarist, Joe quickly found a home in the Hip Hop music community in Atlanta and has risen to the very top of the proverbial food chain thanks to his work on albums like B.O.B.‘s “The Adventures of Bobby Ray” and Kevin Gates “Islah“.

I appreciate him taking the time to give us all a glimpse into his world, working with many of Hip Hop’s current Hitmakers!
