During the FACET Retreat in October 2021, Christina Downey facilitated a panel of students from across Indiana University to discuss the obstacles, challenges, institutionalized barriers, and other issues they face on our campuses that affect their ability to receive equity and justice in their education.

Faculty Academy on Excellence in Teaching (FACET) is a community of Indiana University (IU) faculty members who are committed to being—and helping others to be—exceptional educators. FACET strives to further IU’s teaching mission by helping faculty explore new teaching methods, advance the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, and connect with each other to form a university-wide network for teaching excellence. All of this enables them to focus on their ultimate goal: helping students learn.
