The priest Theophilus Hamutumbangela seems to bless everyone who stands before him. Since 2001 his statue can be found in the Parliament Garden.

In Africa folktales are believed to have the power to hold the community together: the ancestors, the living, and those not yet born. They serve to communicate morals and traditions to the young in preparation of life's obstacles. Based on this, we believe that sharing historical facts, cultural norms and knowledge about the environment in a way of telling a story, we can increase cultural understanding and empathy while delivering relevant information to enable mindful traveling in Namibia.

On the streaming platforms we are sharing some audio clips from our app as well as host a long format podcast. The app connects the audio clips with a GPS location, so that you can find out more about landmarks and interesting sites in your vicinity. However our library also offers a variety of audio clips telling you everything about Namibian food, customs & traditions, languages and nature as well as some African folktales.
