After the massacre that occurred on the 20th of October 2020 where many Nigerians were killed at Lekki Tollgate for practicing their constitutional right to gather and protest: Protesting against the merciless killing of the youth of Nigerian by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). The protest calmed down, however, the government announced its plans to re-open said Tollgate after the youth representatives on the investigative panels voted against it because the investigation is still ongoing & because nobody had been trialed or arrested for the night of 20/10/20.

Going out again, on 12/2/21, to protest against this decision they were arrested, tortured, beaten, and molested.
