Āpera: Kāore au i horoi i aku kākahu mō tētahi wā roa.

Hēmi: Kei te kite au, arā e haupū mai ana i tō rūma, ānō nei he maunga.

Āpera: Kāore e pērā rawa te kino.

Hēmi: Engari. He aha koe e kore nei e horoi atu?

Āpera: Kāore au e mōhio ana ki te raweke i te pūrere horoi kākahu.

Hēmi: E tama! He māmā! Whiua atu ngā kaka, riringihia atu te wē, katia, ka pēhi ai i te pātene.

Āpera: Engari, ko te mahi nui ko te whakairi, ko te tiki anō me te whātui i ngā kākahu.
