The literal meaning of the word compassion is "to suffer together". It extends beyond feeling pity for the pain of others, compassion is empathy in action.
The very best place to begin practicing compassion is with yourself.
As you soften toward yourself and accept who you are in spite of your past, your conditioning, your accomplishments and failures...as you begin to show kindness, understanding and love toward yourself, you start a journey what will not not only impact yourself, but the many lives you touch.
With so many of us suffering from the weight of our past or the pain of our present, we could all use a lot more compassion in our lives. We hope you love this episode and are inspired to show yourself all the love you deserve.
