Reece D'Angelo spent the last 10 years absorbing stories of monumental growth and exploring questions like: What makes someone resilient? Why are some people more likely than others to persist through profound challenge, and how do they do it? Reece talks with everyday people who overcome great challenges.

In this episode, Reece talks with Brooke Torres, the CEO and Founder of Hilma Sneakers, a brand launching later this year with a mission to redefine how we see women in movement. The two discuss challenges faced by female entrepreneurs, using humor to power through tough times, and Brooke tells a captivating story of running a race through difficult conditions in the mountains of Iceland.

An activity aficionado herself, Brooke enjoys everything from city walks to running ultramarathons. Brooke is a graduate of Smith College, and began her career in high growth marketing for companies like The Muse and Talla.
