Equine Bodywork is unregulated. You do not need any kind of formal training to practice. However, if you want to set yourself apart, become a professional who is respected and called upon by peers, owners and veterinarians, you had better gain some education. And it doesn't stop there. To really become a master at your craft, you need to continue your education all the time. Never. Stop. Learning. This episode is going to cover how our new continuing education platforms we call PODs, are helping to further not only the individuals who are participating in them, but also the industry as a whole. We talk today with a longtime client who has taken the concept of conditioning her horses prior to sport specific exercise, to heart. We look at her older horse as an example of what this type of conditioning program can do for an equine athlete to not only improve their current situation but also to prolong their careers. Kaila Stewart is a Non-pro cutting horse competitor and has been in the industry for decades caring for and loping horses. She is like the majority of horse owners who love their horses and their chosen discipline but can get stuck in a rut determining how to best care for and move forward without breaking the bank! Kaila's special horse LEO, is a prime example of an older horse, potentially no longer able to be competitive for her level, that we were able to develop a program for and bring back for the best show season of his life! With hard work from the owner and a basic maintenance schedule Leo excelled! Learn today how that was accomplished and be prepared to fall in love with the little horse everyone thought was ready for retirement. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
