There are three aspects of in the Veda-s; Deva-s, Rishi-s, and Mantra-s. Deva-s are the cosmic energies. When we invoke them, they will manifest their powers in us. Various Deva-s have their own powers prominently. These powers enhance potentiality like willpower, clarity in thinking, inspiration, etc.
Herein I have introduced Agni Deva. He is the lord of willpower. By understanding and chanting these mantras we can empower our willpower. First Sukta of First Mandala of Rig Veda addresses Agni. First I will paraphrase the nine mantra-s of first Sukta, then I will try to explain each mantra. This is psychological meaning.

Every human being is endowed with certain level of human potentiality. These potentialities need to be enhanced. A man with his own attempts can raise upto one level. From there onwards he has to seek the help of the divine powers. This is the secret of Veda-s. I have gone through with all the 25,000 in the four Veda-s. With this background I wish to share my understanding and experience with regards to enhancing human potentiality. Several individuals from various backgrounds will be benefited from this understanding. One can lead happy, healthy, prosperous and harmonious life.
