When you are looking at the product with the goal to automate the product, also think about that parts that are unique. There is always a unique element to automation. There are two levels of uniqueness. The first level of a unique part would include parts that are commercially available. The second level of uniqueness is parts that require custom design.It is important to start the conversations about the components of automation and the assembly line as soon as possible. Start thinking about your products and what components are involved in making it.
