Social media can feel like a black hole of time and energy.  This is one reason that I am taking a social media sabbatical!  I am sharing - the what, when, how, and why.

Welcome! I believe we are connecting for a really good reason!

My social media sabbatical will begin July 1, 2022 through August 7, 2022.  We will be back on social media on August 8, 2022. (8-08!!!)

WHY: Disconnect to Reconnect: Social media can make us feel tired, discouraged, drained.

My 31-day challenge to post on TikTok every day in the month of May this year - to share educational, inspirational, and fun videos. 

I love doing experiments! Hypothesizing: 1) It might be a struggle for me to disconnect from social media.  2: I will have more time and energy.

We have used social media in my business, Visionistas By Design, to share inspirational and educational content.

It’s out of balance in my life right now. I need more balance, more rest and time for pausing, reflecting, breathing.

In most spiritual practices - religious or not - rest and pause to connect with yourself and your spiritual guides is encouraged.

WHY: We are taking an Intentional Pause (opposed to and perhaps in response to the fallout from our “Forced Pause” of 2020) for perspective, time, and opportunity to reconnect with ourselves and our loved ones.

I enjoy slowing down in the summer months.

Taking Inventory. We have created so much over the past couple of years and we have been discussing our desire to reflect, to reorganize, and to realign with our core values.

“We Empower You To Fly”.  We empower ourselves and each other to fly here at Visionistas By Design. Pause, reflect, look back to see where we have been.  Appreciate the moments right now.  What is our vision? Where are we going? Aligning our actions and thoughts with our goals with intentional vision.  We evaluate and celebrate and redesign when change occurs.

I invite you take time to reconnect with yourself.  We empower you to fly.  We empower you to rest and embrace the cycle of life.

HOW: I want to model our message of taking and making time for yourself, to “walk the walk”.

When I told the Visionistas Team members about our social media sabbatical, they were relieved!!

HOW: In securely attached relationships, we can trust the connection over time and space.  Rather than an unexpected break (aka: “ghosting you”) I want to be intentional in talking about the plan and informing you of it, as we are in relationship with each other through this podcast.

WHY: My goals: to feel more connected and rested; to process this past several months; to prepare for the upcoming months and exciting things ahead!
