The man, transported into a dreamlike dimension in which he identifies with his namesake Archangel, listens to Lucifer's final prophecy: the renegade angel reveals his plan for the selective extermination of the human race. At the end he gives him some further advice and closes with the sibylline indication to "follow the clues"; then disappears definitively.
