In this hilarious yet heartbreaking episode, Dobie Maxwell, a.k.a. “Mr. Lucky,” talks about having a dad who was in a biker gang and a mom who was a drug addict. Dobie was raised by his eccentric grandparents: a germaphobic grandma who carried a gun with her everywhere (even church) and a wise grandpa who kept him on the straight and narrow through some unique parenting methods.

Dobie also tells the tragic story of having to testify against his best friend - a wild tale that involves a bank robber in a gorilla mask, a near-fatal car crash, and an FBI investigation.

Bio: Dobie Maxwell - aka “Mr. Lucky” - has an uncanny knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time – ALL the time – has spawned some of the most tragically hilarious stories of anyone anywhere.

His remarkable memoir “Monkey in the Middle” chronicles his life from being born to motorcycle gang parents and abandoned at five months old to having to testify against his childhood best friend in federal court for robbing a local bank not once but twice.

Dobie has appeared on CBS TV’s “The Late LateShow with Craig Ferguson” and Byron Allen’s ‘Comics.TV’ among many other shows. He has also been on nationally syndicated radio on the “Bob and Tom”show which is in more than 200 U.S. markets.
