In a recent conversation with a survivor, she said that she had repeatedly gotten involved in unhealthy relationships. This was not only her experience but the experience of some other survivors as well. She jokingly asked if she had a mark on her forehead that attracted abusers and victimizers. In reality, trauma increases vulnerability. Vulnerability attracts predators. I explain.
