Back in the late 90s, I used to to love trance music and amongst other things, I used to listen to Judge Jules' and Dave Pearce's shows on Radio1. I was keen on this type of music until the early 2000s, when I started to diversify into house music and I clearly remember the first day I listened to Desyn Masiello's Essential Mix back in late 2004. I couldn't stop wondering where the music he played in that mix came from. Had Desyn been playing far too much GTA Vice City? Where the 80s back? Some tracks had quite a progressive touch as well but I had missed the progressive house movement of the early 2000s, so it was new to me as well. Listening to this mix felt like being born again from a dance music perspective.Desyn's mix inspired me to compile my first ever mix which was called "It's About Time Mix". The likes of Harry Pear, Mezzomatic, Rex The Dog...etc, were all featured in that 2004 mix and I wanted to include them in this mix to remind people how good these tracks were and hopefully to open the eyes of people in the same way that they did with me 4 years ago.As always, don't forget to check the Lyrics section of the mp3 to see the tracklisting from your music player.
