As a bowhunter of 20+ years - my evolution in arrow selection has changed. I used to buy arrows shafts pre-fletched from a big box store and call it good. Eventually I gravitated towards buying shafts and an arrow saw, then started fletching my own arrows. Then, I really dug in on arrow components, arrow spines, nock tuning and bare-shaft tuning. All this lead me down a road of mitigating any potential failure points in my archery equipment, including arrows.
