Week 3 – Jeff Maness – September 29, 2019The goal of our gathering is not just for God, it’s also for our good. God doesn’t need us to gather together for worship, but He knows how good it is for us. So, what is good for us about our gathering?Why? ConnectVision — We exist to help guide people to experience life to its fullest, connect into meaningful relationships and make a lasting impact.Hebrews 10:25 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.The Greek word which is translated “meeting together” means an act of assembling, or a gathering together for public worship. It models our unityIt Matters — No matter how you serve in the church, it matters for you and it matters for the church.Better Together — We become the most like Christ when we are connected together through Christ.Hebrews 10:24 24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.2. It motivates us to actionMotivate = A provocation which literally jabs or cuts someone so they “must” respond.New International Version = And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.Hebrews 10:25 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.3.
