Our very first story! In which is told of dragons, ships at sea, and a particularly large (spoiler alert) feast. 

For the original story, read Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene, the earliest cantos contain The Redcrosse Knight. For an excellent (unlike ours?) retelling, see Margaret Hodge's 'Saint George and the Dragon', illustrated by the indubitable Trina Schart Hyman. A classic.
