#10 Dr. Paula Clarke, 4/6 Leeds Dyslexia Festival. Effective Reading approaches. Dr. Paula Clarke, Associate Professor at the University of Leeds presented " Making meaning from what we read: Effective approaches for supporting learners to understand the text." Dr Clarke explains some of the reading approach models and how they can be helpful as a framework to understand how to help people read especially Dyslexic children. Taking things further than Phonics into the realm of how we understand text within our own frames of reference. She explains her research into ways to make it all practical in the second section. This talk has also been live mapped at the conference and is available on our Facebook page. Search 'Mindmap Studio'.
