Transitioning from one leader to the next is always a difficult task that takes a lot of planning and proper execution. Mark Coffey served Mechanicsville Church of Christ in VA for around 15 years and knew he was going to retire. Instead of leaving the church empty-handed, he implemented a proper transition plan between himself and the guy who was going to be stepping into the lead minister role.
