Episode 2! Adventure on the Altiplano. Salt Flats, mining towns, remote places. Ugly side of traveling, beautiful side of traveling. Great food, strange vibes and so much more. Enjoy!
bienvenidos to the Dustin, The Wind podcast special series. BOL BOL BOL! Bolivia Backpack Adventures!!! Over the course of the next 6 weeks (week 2) or so, I will be sharing stories from the 3 months I spent backpacking through Bolivia. Delicious street food, insane bus rides, magical landscapes and more. Jaguars, llamas, monkeys galore! I will be presenting the episodes in a story telling narrative through my accounts. Tied into my accounts will include observations, tidbits I learned, questions I asked, questions I answered, questions I haven’t answered. The narrative will include travel tips and insider information. I took many notes, I kept tabs on my psyche, and took many pictures and videos. This format is new for Dustin, The Wind podcast and I’m excited to explore this way of sharing what I have learned and experienced with you. I hope it gives an experienced traveler the confidence to take their travels to another level, a curious but hesitant traveler the confidence they need to get out for an adventure, and a vicarious armchair traveler some home adventure. I hope to bring the country Bolivia to life in the best way I can based on my experiences and what I learned. The people, the landscapes, and the culture. I will also share thoughts I had during my 3 months. Times when I was happy, times when I was sad, times when I was confused. My happy thoughts and sad, my anxious thoughts and my excited thoughts, my lonely contemplations and my social exasperations.
I have plenty to say over the course of the next 5 weeks, so let's get to it. Sit back, relax, don't worry about buckling up. Where we are going seatbelts have no place. Grab a bag of coca, your adventure bag, and meet me at the Altiplano.
