This is a mix I made back in 94 or 95. Don't know if you call it mixing or just "playing records". Anyway after rekindling my love for Ambient, Down Tempo and Trip-Hop, and running into ambient artists and lovers in Second Life's BACK TO MINE and Myspace, I pulled this out. Not too sure about the recording level; might have to amplify and re-upload it. As you can tell I must have recently purchased certain albums prior to recording. Includes stuff from The Irresistible Force, Portishead, Namlook, Tranquility Bass and more. I will add a full tracklist at a later time.

This is just a teaser for my next episode. The interview was borrowed from Nick Nice's "Underground Disco" cassette. Not sure if the usage of incorrect trivia (CP3O instead of C3PO and Darth Vader having a blaster pistol) was intentional or not. Can't remember where this came from but maybe someone can let me know the origin of this. Anyway this is just a sneak peak of a complete episode to follow.

Hmmmmmm
Wow, I just can't stop throwing out these episodes. This is a selection from French Invasion Vol.3 by Nick Nice which was recorded later in 1993 I believe. If you love trance, this set will take you there. Throw on the head phones and think about nothing else. I remember when I heard "Snakecharmer" for the first time. It was at a little gathering at my house and I felt like I was "leaning" so far I was about to touch the floor.
Much thanx again to Nick Nice for allowing me to publish his material. Check out more Nick Nice on his podcast.

This is the beginning of the event known as "Alice In Raveeland". It took place outside of Madison, Wisconsin in August of 1992. The first 30 mins. is basically ambient layed down by I believe to be Nick Nice and Roz B. Liquid (which is definately headphones with the lights down low material). Prof. Wiggley did the keyboard sampling. The guests were not permitted to enter the barn until after the first 20 min. Then 10 min. later Nick Nice really kicks it off with one of my all time favorites "Eisbaer" by Iglu.

This is an excerpt from Ravee outside of Madison, Wisconsin in May of 1992. Roz B. Liquid lays down some great grooves after an hour of hardcore (at that time). Not that the hardcore was bad, but it was amazing how Roz changed the whole vibe of the event in just a short time.

Found deep in the Dr. Ribe O'flavour vaults. This was a memorable experience to say the least. We had a Cardinal Bar staff party which included an excursion on Lake Mendota and Lake Monona in Madison, Wiscosin. Afterwards we went back to the Cardinal Bar and Nick Nice and I were challenged to make our way to the DJ Booth and provide some auditory stimulation. This is the result.
The flow of this recording often seems incomprehensible and there is very little beat mixing. We were just trying to get the tracks down and provide a variety of interesting styles. Included is quite a large excerpt from The KLF's Chillout album. NJOI with a :D. Here's a tracklist which Nick Nice or someone else can help fill in what's missing. Btw the little break is where the cassete had to switch sides and I didn't feel like deleting it in audacity.:P

This a Dr. RibeO original mix created in 1995. It includes "Belfast" by Orbital and "Papua New Guinea" by The Future Sound of London. Let's say I tried to "mix". The photo above is of Dr.RibeO and Yummy Cookie posing with Ken the Elvis Trooper.
