About Knights of the Fourth Brigade This melody was originally composed as a drinking song in the pleasant days after The War of the Lance. With its upbeat lyrics, parts for two fiddles, and a quick-step dance beat, it soon became a favorite tune in the pubs of Northern Ergoth. As the story goes, a homesick Ergothian squire on his first training mission with the Knight of the Crown sang the pub song one night in camp. By chance Lord Knight Jorge Goldcastle heard the melody, liked the cadence, and began to hum the tune himself. The next day, Goldcastle noticed that the tune’s lively beat fit perfectly with the cadence of his marching Knights. Soon after, Goldcastle wrote new words and adopted the tune as the official song of his regiment, the Fourth Brigade.  Music cataloged by Jarrus LocastusAssistant, Great Library of Palanthus Lyrics (Verse 1)When we’re marching off in to danger,to the places evil may rangeHere to protect a loved one or stranger, (Chorus)We’re the Fourth Brigade. To protect is our dutyas The Measure doth decree,we’ll serve with faith and loyaltybringing Knights of the Crown glory (Verse 2)When we don our swords and our armorTo protect a king or a farmer,Or defend a castle from harm here, (Sing Chorus) (Verse 3)Evil dragon fear will not scare usNor the lure of evil ensnare usFor our oath of horo prepares us (Sing Chorus) Lyrics for the pub song are as follows: (Verse 1)In this place of friendship and laughter,Where the music sounds to the rafters.Let no glass be empty hereafter,As we sing this song. (Chorus)Let us lift our mugs of ale,To good times we’ll five a hail,And lift a glass and tell the taleOf the friends who are gathered here. (Verse 2)All the liquor here is the strong kind,If you drink enough you will soon find,That you’ve lost your cares and you don’t mind,If you stay till dawn. (Chorus) (Verse 3)Patrons here are stout and quite able,To drink Reorx under the table,Tales of our deeds spread like a fableAcross Ansalon. (Chorus) (Verse 4)All the serving girls are quite pretty,And they all seem willing and witty,There’s no better place in the cityOpen all night long. (Chorus) (Verse 5)To the good times here we’ll sing our praise,Just as long as somebody else pays! Then our glasses once again we’ll raise,As we sing along! (Chorus)

Combat Computer Re-Creation
Enjoy this recreation of The DRAGONTM Magazine Combat Computer by Laura and Tracy Hickman. As I don’t have the original magazine and insert, I thought it would be interesting to re-create it as a vector file with Adobe Illustrator CC. https://youtu.be/Etoa9hWylF4 Time Stamps: * 0:00 Intro * 0:56 Re-Creation Process * 3:09 How to Use It * 5:10 Combat Example * 6:21 Outro About the DRAGONTM Magazine Combat Computer The DRAGONTM Magazine Combat Computer was originally designed and developed by Laura and Tracy Hickman. It featured Graphic Design by Roger Raupp and Text Editing by Kim Mohan. It originally appeared in DRAGON Magazine #41, June 1983, as an article and insert. There is an updated version of this AD&D 1ed Combat Computer on the Mage of the Striped Tower blog: https://mageofthestripedtower.blogspot.com/2012/02/ad-1ed-combat-computer.html The DRAGON Magazine Combat Computer Transcript Cold Open Combat resolution in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons just got a lot easier! Intro Welcome to another DragonLance Saga creator episode. My name is Adam and today I am re-creating the DRAGONTM Magazine Combat Computer by Laura and Tracy Hickman. I would like to take a moment and thank the members of this YouTube channel, and invite you to consider becoming a member by visiting the link in the description below. You can even pick up Dragonlance gaming materials using my affiliate links.  I am referencing DRAGON Magazine number seventy-four from June nineteen eighty-three, the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Players Handbook & Dungeon Masters Guides, in addition to the mage of the striped tower blog for this video. If I leave anything out or misspeak, please leave a comment below! Discussion My degree and profession is in Graphic Design. Having to re-create art from low resolution images is unfortunately part of my life. After becoming aware of the DRAGON Magazine Combat Computer, I felt that it would benefit me as a Dungeon Master who truly loves Advanced Dungeons & Dragons to get my hands on a copy. After some cursory searches online, I became aware of someone who already re-created and enhanced the DRAGON Magazone’s version. Rather than use what someone else had done, I thought it would be fun to make it myself. So I started by finding a PDF of the DRAGON Magazine issue with a scanned version of the Combat Computer, and imported it into Adobe Illustrator CC to re-create it.  Re-creating art can be a long and arduous project but with experience, you can use tricks of the trade to speed it up. The first thing I learned was that the original art wasn’t perfectly symmetrical, so I redesigned it to be just that.

Kendermore Review
Join me as I review Kendermore by Mary Kirchoff, live! Share your thoughts on this second novel in the Dragonlance Preludes series, released on September 17, 1989 by TSR Inc. You can buy a copy here: https://amzn.to/3NL3Uve  https://youtube.com/live/KOW8Cl13Awc About Kendermore Beloved kender Tasslehoff Burrfoot encounters marriage, magic, monsters, and mayhem in this Preludes novel set before the War of the Lance While carousing at the Inn of the Last Home, carefree kender Tasslehoff Burrfoot is snared by a bounty hunter whose assignment is to ensure the return of the light-fingered escape artist to his homeland. It seems his beloved Uncle Trapspringer is being held prisoner by the venerable council of elders—until Tas honors Kender marriage tradition, that is. But before he can say “I do,” Tasslehoff’s betrothed pulls a disappearing act of her own. The race is on to see who gets dragged to the altar first. But not only must Tas dodge matrimony, he must elude a capricious wizard set on pickling one of every creature on Krynn, cheer up the last existing woolly mammoth, foil a most determined and deadly assassin, and—in the end—save Kendermore. Review Welcome to another DragonLance Saga review episode. It is Bakukal, Newkolt the 5th. My name is Adam and today I am going to give you my review of Kendermore by Mary Kirchoff. I would like to take a moment and thank the members of this YouTube channel, and invite you to consider becoming a member by visiting the link in the description below. You can even pick up Dragonlance gaming materials using my affiliate links. This is my perspective only, and if you have any thoughts or disagree with mine, I invite you to share them in YouTube chat. Returning to these Preludes is like visiting an old friend. I know a lot of people have problems with Kender both in novels and in-game, but I have always been a fan. To me, the best part of kender is their hypocrisy and wit. They handle items, then grow genuinely hurt when you call them a thief for taking your things without permission. Then they can turn on a dime, and taunt you to tears of rage. But again, they will take any personal slight deep into their heart. Tas is this personified. What I am not so eager to revisit with each of these stories are the same descriptions of Solace and the Inn of the Last Home. Don’t get me knowing. I like the locations, but every book describes them in such detail, knowing they are the tenth novel to do so. At what point is enough enough? The story starts after Kitiara, Sturm, Caramon and Raistlin have left Solace for their five year sojourns. Tas, Tanis and Flint are kicking it in the Inn drinking when a stout and gorgeous dwarf woman named Gisella Hornslager enters with her assistant Woodrow. I immediately fall for this character as she is as sexually overt in her mannerisms and suggestions as I am, and I dig it! There are a number of adult jokes I never got as a kid, and it really makes this re-read a delight. She is looking for Tas because he has a bounty on him, and this is the setup to this novel. Apparently Kendermore was getting low in its population, so they began instituting forced marriage. Since it's a law, and Tas hasn’t returned to Kendermore yet to marry the Mayor Meridon Metwinger’s daughter Damaris, they put out a bounty to return him to Kendermore. In order to prove how serious they are, the Mayor detained Tas’ Uncle Trapspringer Furrfoot, absconding with his Minotaur or Werewolf finger bone, he doesn't know which is its true origin, and sent that with the bounty hunter, the voluptuous Gisella, to showTas that Trapspringer is truly held prisoner,

Abanasinia – War of the Lance Era
It is the first region we are introduced to in Dragons of Autumn Twilight. Let’s learn more about Abanasinia. Buy The Atlas of the Dragonlance World: https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/182424/atlas-of-the-dragonlance-world-1e?affiliate_id=50797  https://youtu.be/tp08zeZe5MQ Transcript Cold Open It’s the starting point for both Dragons of Autumn Twilight and DL1 Dragons of Despair. Intro Welcome to another DragonLance Saga episode. My name is Adam and today we are going to talk about Abanasinia in the War of the Lance Era. I would like to take a moment and thank the members of this channel, and invite you to consider becoming a member by visiting the link in the description below. You can even pick up Dragonlance gaming materials using my affiliate links. I am referencing the The Atlas of the Dragonlance World, Tales of the Lance boxed set and the War of the Lance sourcebook for this information. If I leave anything out or misspeak, please leave a comment below! Discussion Originally Abanasinia included all the lands from the northern plains of New Sea to the mountains of Thorbardin, but today, it is localized to the area north and northwest of the White-rage River, and known as Seeker Lands. At its heart lies the northern Kharolis Mountains. Its coastal plains lay to the north with the Schallsea Straits and west with the Straits of Algoni, while the east is barred by the Eastwall Mountains before opening into the coastal marshes of New Sea. The northern Kharolis Mountains in this region are locally known as the Sentinel Peaks. They are not tremendously high or rugged, but rather a collection of ridges rising up as its name implies, rather than one continuous mountainous mass. The citadel of the evil wizard Gader stands in these mountains. The Cataclysm changed the land but not its people much. The nomadic tribes who once worshiped gods turned to ancestor or totem worship. Civilization was forced to adjust with the appearance of Newsea and the Straights of Schallsea where port towns sprouted up. Solace was rebuilt amid the branches of the beloved Vallenwood trees, creating one of the more unique  human communities in Ansalon. While goblins and bandits plague the area and merchant caravans, they also draw mercenaries from far and wide to deal with them. Deep within the mountains lies Darken Wood, believed to be haunted by the spirits of the dead. It shelters some of Krynn’s most beautiful and furtive beasts including dryads, centaurs, woodland spirits and even unicorns. The mysterious Forestmaster dwells in its center. Those who would dare venture here had better have stout and pure hearts. The White-Rage River features two major tributaries which encircle Darken Wood. Solace Stream flows south from Crystalmir Lake by Solace, and Elfstream & Darkwater River which enters the White-rage near Haven, then rushes east through White-rage Cut. From there the river flows on to Qualinost. The land in the mountain valleys outside Darken Wood are good for farms and pastures. In fact Abanasinia is known best for its grain-burgeoning plains. The forbidding mountains, swamps, forests and seas insulate the region from the spread of civilization, making Abanasinia a land of villages rather than cities. The Seeker Lands encompass the unofficial capital of Abanasinia known as the Lordcity of Haven, accessed by a road that ran north and east about the mountains surrounding Darken Wood. It has just under fifteen thousand residents and was built over the ruins of an el...

It is Kirinor, Frostkolt the 27th. My name is Adam and today I am going to give you my review of The Journals of Kaz the Minotaur: The Lost Colony by Richard A Knaak and Dragonlance Nexus. The short story, The Colony by Richard Knaak, focuses around Kaz and his followers leaving Nethosak to find a new homeland. They don’t want to remain so close to the Blood Sea Minotaur Kingdom as a future emperor would try to reincorporate them into the empire. So they set sail for the unknown eastern Corrain ocean. The trouble with the short story is that it’s short. Much of it is taken up by reintroducing characters for the sake of those readers who haven't read every short story or novel featuring Kaz. While I appreciate it, I feel like it was largely wasted as much of the information dump had little or no bearing on the actual content of the short story. So they come across an unknown island that has an abandoned colony.

Review Welcome to another DragonLance Saga review episode. It is Bakukal, Frostkolt the 22nd. My name is Adam and today I am going to give you my review of Darkness & Light by Paul B. Thompson and Tonya C. Cook. I would like to take a moment and thank the members of this YouTube channel, and invite you to consider becoming a member by visiting the link in the description below. This is my perspective only, and if you have any thoughts or disagree with mine, I invite you to share them in YouTube chat. The novel starts with the innfellows fighting, laughing and having a good old time, ending in the Inn of the Last Home. A young Tika is tormenting Caramon, and an old Flint is swearing of trading forever. It’s so refreshing to revisit this novel and this time of the companions. It’s like old friends before you grew up and drifted apart. They all make their plans to leave and explore, Kitiara and Sturm are headed north and leave the following morning. They begin by traveling to the coastal town of Zaradene to find passage to Caergoth, but the locals are hostile to all outsiders as they were just raided. This sets up the world of Krynn in this age of despair well. People are distrustful of outsiders. There are raiding parties that scavenge villages and towns. Petty lords warring and raiding. It’s a time of darkness. They meet an elf in a bar named Tirolan Ambrodel who agrees to take them to Caergoth on his ship the High Crest. It's waiting out in the deeper water. They pay for their passage with gold coin Kitiara was given from mercenary work. It was minted in Silvanesti and everyone makes a big deal about it as the Silvanesti have locked themselves away from the world after the Cataclysm. Again, great world building here. They arrive at Caergoth and see a steam engine Gnome ship in the bay, I don’t know if it was a hint dropped about future gnomish ships or just a fun point of interest. They go into a bar and are attacked by what seem to be Draconians in hoods and cloaks. This is the biggest problem with Dragonlance books. They constantly seed future danger, but by doing so, it would remove the initial shock of the companions seeing the creatures in Dragons of Autumn Twilight. Rather than being confused,
