Initially a studio-based project, the two producers (Lorenzo & Mat) began translatingtheir recorded tracks into a performance that borrows from DJ and live music culture. Theirsound centers around saturated drums, looped electronics, and arpeggiated sequences againstlive lead vocals and sampled acapellas. Their journey started at the end of 2022 when theyreleased a cover of the Beatles classic ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’, reinterpreting the track with aheavy dub production. 2023 will see the band release their first EP, beginning with a Sea ofChange on 24th March.The first lead single ‘A Sea of Change’ fully paints Gumflowr’s sonic brand of extravagantproduction, with roots in Disco and Kraut influenced Electronic music. Lyrically, the song subtlyunveils the first steps involved in gender exploration, and how an individual navigates theseearly stages.The track is self-released on the 24th March 2023.
