The angel Gabriel visits Mary and makes the announcement of Jesus Christ's incarnation, changing Mary's life in an instant. God blesses and chooses Mary to be the mother of His Son. It was not because of Mary’s blessedness that she received God’s favor, but rather because of God’s favor, she was blessed. By grace, God chose Mary to give birth to His Son – and Mary believed that Word.
