Don't Be Ridiculous: A Perfect Strangers Podcast

In this episode, Aaron and Fabian welcome back, Caitlin Wittlif. This time we’re not talking Dolly Parton, we’re talking birthdays...and also chest hair (lots of chest hair), the purpose (if any) of printer calculators, and the kindest and most random of Strangers you could find to make a Perfect last minute birthday party.

In this episode, Aaron and Fabian have their first ever Podcast Crossover when they are joined by Luke Brawner, the host of the ultimate 80s/90s nostalgia podcast, Thirty Pop and the creator of Milieu Media. We find ourselves in awe of Balki's workout routine (Buttock Pinches) and how Murder, She Wrote was The Walking Dead of the 1980s!

Aaron simultaneously updates us on when episode 5 will drop while also throwing episode 5's guest under the bus. He does so with full permission of said guest host (Luke Brawner) and gives some shoutouts to the listeners.

In this episode, Fabian and Aaron are joined by Leanor Ortega Till of the one and only Five Iron Frenzy. Naturally the discussion “steers” towards our unique experiences learning to drive (like say in a cemetery), taking (and maybe failing) our driver’s exam, and what we all thought was going to happen to that grapefruit. And then there’s a little ska talk, but not that much.

In this episode, Aaron and Fabian welcome Seth Banister. It’s a real nostalgia feast for the ears as we discuss some famous Chicago Bears, odd and ancient (70s!) beer commercials, ED-209, and how Cousin Larry is really a sort of mirror reflection of any of us who've ever found ourselves wrestling with adulthood while clinging tightly to all of our childhood issues and fears. Fun times.

In this episode, Fabian and Aaron are joined by their first (and so far greatest?) guest, Caitlin Wittlif. As our resident Dolly Parton super fan (super fan in residence), she drops all of the fantastic Dolly knowledge we didn’t know we needed. Our relative ages become a talking point which leads to Aaron getting a nickname that is much less cooler than Fabian’s and it better not stick around. And please check out the show notes this week. UPDATE: Just as we start to publish episodes, we discover that Perfect Strangers is no longer available for streaming at this time. HBO Max seems to be the best guess as to the new home of the show that our show is about but for now, we don't know when or if that is the case. In the mean time, we will continue on.
