In this episode I am speaking to Molly Fenton founder of Love Your period.
After coming across the work of Amika George, campaigning for ‘Free Periods’ in England, Molly started talking to people around her about period poverty and stigma- something she had never thought about before. People called the topics ‘inappropriate’ and ‘disgusting’. Molly couldn’t sit back and let this happen. She started a social media movement to aid everyone to help love periods, called the Love Your Period Campaign! Today the campaign has 5000 followers across social media pages and is nationally recognised.
Molly is pioneering change with her petition asking the UK government to make it a requirement for period care manufacturers to list ingredients on product boxes.
We talk all things periods! Breaking the stigma and the power of campaigning for what you believe in.
I hope you enjoy :)
