The Italian rider is racing the 2020 UCI world tour season for the team Lotto-soudal on a Ridley Helium SLX disc carbon bike. Stefano is an all rounder type of rider, hence the Helium SLX frame choice. He is 178cm tall and ride the same frame size as Philippe Gilbert which is a strategic advantage should Philippe have a mechanical problem during a race when he can swap his bike with Stefano and a good losing time waiting for the team car. Stefano's Ridley is equipped with Campagnolo Super Record EPS 12 speed electric shifting and hydraulic Disc brakes groupset. The team is also sponsored by C-bear ceramic bearings which provide all the bearings of the bike.
