Today I am joined by Melissa Mason; she is the co-founder of Brown Skin Brunchin’. Melissa and her partner Lillian identified a need for space where woman of color can come together as adults and form connections free of negativity and judgement. They rose to the occasion by creating a space for woman of color to connect, share and grow both their personal and professional networks. Currently operating in over 87 cities with a community of 42 thousand plus members, these ladies have certainly created a much-needed sanctuary for their community.

Call to Action:

Understand that what one group may do or need in their community isn’t about excluding another group. If you feel excluded by this idea, please sit with it and honestly ask yourself why.
