Holding a badge, a gun, and a stick,

Who taught you to seize the breath of man?
Holding your knee to their necks...again.

Back in the day the terror was real,

Attacking for skin, that was just overkill!
Beating to a pulp until you're fulfilled,
Now that damned immunity, what is the deal?

Is it really for "officer safety" to fear

Anyone coping this life too near?
Is it really you who fear for your life,
With a vest, a gun, and words sharp as a knife?
Your words weaponized for the sake of your ego,
For you "are the law", but who are Your people?

The title of peace has been slayed by your hands,

Your thoughts don't cooperate with the law of the land.
Who do you serve when your job is to lie?
Trying to meet a quota while you watch people die.

When does it end, this thirst for authority?

When do you realize that you're the minority?
Where has it gone, this lack of respect;
Enforcing your ways, ignoring the rest?
One day you'll see that you are expendable,
Replaced by robots, the future's inevitable.

The day your thoughts rest, and so too your hands,

You'll help end the pointless separation of man."
